BonusRights initial application to determine and display employees yearly bonuses was difficult for clients to understand, resulting in dissatisfaction and confusion.  As a result, they needed a UI/UX solution to create an intuitive and user-friendly interface that simplifies the bonus calculation process and provides transparency to their clients.

CHALLENGES

  • The existing system was cluttered and difficult to navigate for users.

  • The system needed to be flexible and scalable to accommodate potential future changes or updates.

  • The current bonus structured spreadsheets contained a lot of data and complex formulas that needed to be organized in a user-friendly way.

Wireframes

I conducted discovery sessions with stakeholders and created low-fidelity wireframes to show customer data in a simple and readable format. This process helped me gain stakeholders’ confidence in the project direction and improved my understanding of the project’s rationale.

Hi-Fidelity Prototype and Design

I used Figma to turn the initial wireframes into more polished designs and a working prototype. I took time to refine the layout, and utilize the BonusRight style guide to make the mockups look more realistic and inviting. Being able to present these mockups allowed for feedback and approval before handing them off to the development team. This ensured everyone was on the same page and had a visual representation of the final product before moving forward.

Results

The final results of this UI/UX project for BonusRight is impressive. The process of creating wireframes and prototypes helped to streamline the development process and ensure that stakeholders were excited to roll out the product to clients. The product was well-received, and stakeholders praised the attention to detail and user-centric approach that was evident in the final design. Overall, this project demonstrates the importance of a thorough design process and how it ultimately lead to successful product for BonusRight and clients.
