SENIOR DIGITAL DESIGNER

“We want everyone to feel like they belong here.”

OPPORTUNITY

Moving to Mountain America Credit Union was a big step for my career. The opportunities to feel a stronger connection to the company I worked for was something that boosted my confidence. I was able to contribute in many ways within the company that allowed my skillset in other ways grow and develop. To be involved in internal communications, the marketing department, the UX/UI team and testing and seeing results of campaigns offered a new way of thinking for my particular skillset and what I can offer in all my deliverables. The relationships I was able to build and grow helped me see how talented and amazing the people I worked with truly were.

CHALLENGES

I was always amazed of the pride and gratitude MACU employees always showed when speaking about being employed by one of the best places to work. It was truly something to be excited to be a part of. Even though a great place to work, I still did face many challenges though my time. With being in a financial industry, there were many project managers who were afraid of trying new ideas and strategies because of results. But through my knowledge of certain technologies and background, I was always able to provide a better quality product and campaign that show an increase in activity from the previous year.

ROLE AND EXPECTATIONS

Always looking for opportunities to grow and contribute.

DIGITAL DESIGN

Coming in as a Senior Designer at Mountain America Credit Union, I was entrusted to take the lead on various digital marketing campaigns which involved landing page design and development, email marketing campaigns, digital ad campaigns, and various UX/UI needs throughout the company. Being a senior designer I was also able help mentor and guide junior designers in brand standards and expectations.

PRINT DESIGN

There were various marketing campaigns where I took the lead in creative design for print and web campaigns. This included setting up shot lists with videographers, acting as photographer on various sets, managing talent and photographers on sets, developing initial concept of print design of various in branch materials, sign-off from executives, QA, and final launch of the in branch campaigns.

EMPLOYEE PORTAL

Before I joined the MACU team I was contracted to build and design the intranet and that role stayed with me throughout my years at MACU. The site evolved as employees and internal communication received feedback, performed user tests, and ran reports of what information was most useful to the employees. Using MS Sharepoint as a platform it was a skillset and project I enjoyed staying involved with.
